Made from 100% natural and organic clay, this product is specifically designed for industrial processes. It is a high-quality clay with excellent heat resistance, characteristic of the materials offered by Tierra de Barro.
This clay is primarily intended for industrial use, particularly in metallurgical and steelmaking applications involving casting and pouring processes. It offers excellent plasticity and is supplied as a fine powder with a texture similar to talcum powder.
It was specially developed for foundry and casting operations; however, due to its physical properties, it can also be used for hand-modeling applications when required.
Although it is a high-temperature material, once fired it is not designed to withstand direct flame exposure as a finished product in applications such as cookware or cooking vessels.
The final color may vary between the raw material and the fired product and may differ from the images shown. It is important to allow pieces to dry completely before firing. A drying period of 24 to 72 hours is recommended.
This is not a polymer clay or an air-dry clay that permanently hardens without firing. To achieve permanent hardness and durability, the material must be fired. Until it is fired, it remains reusable.
