This is a proprietary ceramic product that we have developed over decades, resulting in a white-fired ceramic body. It is made from a unique blend of high-quality domestic and imported clays, creating a distinctive material within Tierra de Barro.
To achieve its white color, the piece must be fired at 1050 °C. If left to air dry for several days, it will retain a gray color.
This clay features high plasticity, allowing the creation of figures with a recommended maximum size of approximately 30 cm. Unlike other clays, it has lower hardness when air-dried, so firing is recommended to achieve maximum strength and durability.
This material can be used to create kitchenware such as cups, plates, spoons, and similar items. However, it is not suitable for cookware that is exposed to direct flame, such as casseroles, pots, and similar vessels.
It is an ideal material for modeling and is widely used in a variety of applications. Our customers use it for projects ranging from sculptures to crafts in classes, workshops, and even rehabilitation activities.
Once air-dried, pieces can be decorated with paints such as watercolors, expanding their creative possibilities.
Our products are non-toxic. When rehydrated, the clay becomes workable again. It can be used with wheel-throwing, pressing, and hand-building techniques. We recommend using approximately 500 grams of clay per person to create a small piece.
The color may vary between the raw clay and the fired piece, and may also differ from the images shown.
It is important to allow the piece to dry completely before firing. A drying period of 24 to 72 hours is recommended. This is not a polymer clay or an air-dry clay that permanently hardens without firing. To achieve permanent hardness and durability, the piece must be fired. Until it is fired, the clay remains reusable.
